About me
WHO IS MARIO?
A photographer.
A father.
A Kitesurfer.
A Roman living in Sicily.
And someone who has spent almost 20 years behind a camera.
WHO IS MARIO?
A photographer.
A father.
A Kitesurfer.
A Roman living in Sicily.
And someone who has spent almost 20 years behind a camera.
When did you become a photographer?
Honestly, I don't remember. Photography slowly became my job, my passion and eventually my way of life.
What do you photograph?
People.
Weddings, portraits, families, athletes, kitesurfers. Anything with a story to tell.
Why people?
Because photographs are never really about cameras.
They are about emotions, connections and moments.
What if someone says:
"I don't know how to pose."
Perfect. Most people don't.
My job is not to make people pose.
My job is to make them feel comfortable.
What happens when you start shooting?
I stop thinking about everything else.
I look for light, expressions and those small moments that usually go unnoticed.
Natural light or flash?
Both.
Every story needs its own light.
Rome or Sicily?
I was born in Rome.
But the wind convinced me to stay in Sicily.
After almost twenty years behind the camera, I still believe that the best photographs happen when people forget the camera.
And yes, I still get excited every time I press the shutter.
